I only meant that 1.5.2 is "new enough" to have withers. I think you could push them into minecarts too still

Thanks, man, gad to hear I am not alone.

I had a 1.5.2 server running a week ago on a work computer but shut it down and just play in single user mode. I wonder if any of this commercial MC hosts would let you run old versions.

Also, I just remembered, you can still make enchanted golden apples in 1.5.2, nice!

wow, that's a lot. I am more of a vanillla player. the server I found has like, extra heads and that seems like a lot.

I'm testing out a vanilla server, see if my computer is powerful enough, I doubt it.

In the meantime I made a discord channel called "gen x minecraft" if we can't find a server to play on maybe we can at least talk together. Although it's made for gen x minecrafters it's open to any generation, here's a link, pm me if it expires, if you or anyoen is interested:

Hey, great!

Separate hosting may be the way to go. i'd hate to have things slow down when the server is doing something else. I'll look into minehut or see if the web host I use has something. hmm. Thanks!

Hi lazygaming66 and kord, I am so happy to hear from two great people right off the bat!

Lazygaming66: that sounds like a great idea. I have a server I could set something up on in a few days, but I'm not sure if I have enough ram to make it workable. What mods are you thinking? I tried, I think it was forge and I got obsessed with pumping oil and breeding bees but then I felt I got away from my minecraft rots and went back to 1.5.2 by myself.

I too play a lot on my own, but my builds tend to be mob farms and giant cubes. frank lloyd wright I am not! Interesting! Maybe our own server is the way to go...

I am trying the server "a zombie pigman broke my door" and it seems pretty good. Pretty vanilla and people seem cool...
