hey Erik... I know how to portforward but my IP address has issues with alloyin others to connect. If you have this problem too, don't ask me how to fix it. But please tell me what kind of computer you have and the type of router. I have a netgear so I will write down the steps for that if it helps any.
Step #1: Go to your favorite browser
Step #2: Type in your Gate Way IP Address
*Note* Go to your start menu, then type in CMD (Command Prompt)
Then type in ipconfig
You will see IPv4 which is going to be used later and Gate Way IP
Type in your Gate Way IP address into google on your browser
Step #3: After this, it will ask you to login...
USERNAME: admin
PASSWORD: password
Step #4: When you are at the netgear Smart Wizard or Netgear Genie Page
go to port forwarding or port triggering
Step #5: Press Add Custom Service
Step #6: Type in any service name you want to call it
Step #7: Keep Protocol on TCP/UDP
Step #8: Type in 25565 as the internal start and end ports
Step #9: Type in your IPv4 as your Internal IP Address
Step #10: Press Apply
Step #11: Enjoy
