I think alot of people here haven't actually run a server here before and that's the fundamental issue. I personally dislike having donations, and I would not have them on my server if it wasn't necessary. But hardly anyone - and I mean it - donates to an EULA compliant server especially if it's a factions server. This isn't going to be the death of the big "evil" servers some have been hoping for. This is going to be the death of the medium sized servers which are too expensive to pay out of one's pocket unlike smaller servers, yet would not now have the playerbase which would consistently donate to an EULA compliant donations store.
If people are donating hundreds of dollars without their parent's consent; it's not the server's fault. And really, they should get their act together because if their child behaves like that, then what will become of them in the future?
I'm not defending OP servers which sell $500 ranks for Prot 1000 or whatever, that's obviously motivated by greed. But please take a moment that developing a server is usually not just funding the hosting costs. Builds, advertising, custom plugins are not free. Please keep this in mind.
