Legend has it that a Parisian lady fell madly in love with someone who did not love her back, someone who took advantage of her passion to play with her heart and destroy her from the inside. Her soul, damaged by that platonic love, abandoned her in search of redemption. The wandering spirit took to the skies of Paris, waded the waters of the Seine and explored the greenery of the Champs Elysées, but found no one to save her. Finally she reached the gutters of Notre Dame Cathedral, where a horrifying gargoyle watched her as it spat rainwater from its mouth. She landed on its snout, and as soon as she settled on it, she found peace. Now this creature, which to many remains inanimate, houses the broken heart of that woman who had once felt the fire of love.
