ISA Browns, sometimes also called ISA Reds, are prolific egg-layers that are docile and friendly. Bred from a Red rooster and a white hen, their coloration is linked to their sex chromosome such that all male chicks are white and all females are red, but this coloration doesn't breed true for subsequent generations.
