A couple distant ancestors of this Ghast escaped an abandoned nether portal and were forced to adapt to their new surroundings, the plains. With lots of peaceful mobs to feast on, one might think the Ghast would be well suited to the plains as is, it can kill and cook its food in one swift action! However things proved difficult as the plains were frequented by Skeletons and Pillagers who desperately wanted these strange ghost like creatures to go back to where they came from! Unable to find the portal they had accidentally came through, they had to find a different way to survive. Over generations these Ghasts opted to pair up with nature in order to help them blend in and thrive. Forming symbiotic relationships with moss, flowers, and vines, a wandering traveler might mistake the new "plains Ghast" for a bush or a shrub. By burying itself half way into the ground, it can provide necessary nutrients to itself and it's plant buddies that live on it, and it can also disguise itself from potential threats. It's root like tentacles go deep into the soil and pull up lots of water, nitrogen, and other tasty elements that allow the plants on their head to produce food for themselves and the Ghast. "What about the fireballs?" you ask! Well say no more to those forest fire prone balls of destruction, our new friendlier plains Ghast can shoot water balls from it's mouth in order to put out fires and provide water to the surrounding flora and fauna. This Ghast still has some teeth though, so don't get too comfortable around it. If it senses a threat, it has the ability to shoot water saturated with poison to attack predatory individuals and protect itself and it's floral friends. This plains Ghast truly is a marvel of evolution!
