The only problem with doing it that way is that it loses detail. You may notice the contrast is almost gone. I always do palette swaps because color-shifts and brightening/darkening do weird things to the skin. Is the green one a color shift and brightened skin? I am just guessing, there's more than one way to skin an axolotl.
