ColourGlow [v1.7]

<>------------<>

Welcome to my first published datapack! This datapack allows you to give your animals or any mob one of sixteen colours to glow in with a simple use of a name tag. These include Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple and any other darker or lighter colour, including black and white. Download this datapack to try it out yourself! Any help and information is available once you load it in using the following command: /function colourglow:start

Datapacks are loaded in automatically. However, make sure this datapack is enabled using the following command: /datapack enable "file/ColourGlow"

Thank you in advance for downloading my datapack! If you have any tips or problems, let me know in the comments.

- Survival and server friendly
- Lightweight and easy to use

<>------------<>

Even though the datapack has got all of its core functions done, there are things to improve and add. Check out the list below for possible future updates and keep watch on new releases.

<> Wishlist towards v2.0:

- Maximum amount per colour.
- Coloured tooltips in utility book.
- Basic feedback messages.
- Tidying up sidebar.
- Tidying up backlog.

<> Known issues:
- Some colours display before "Total" when equal due to the alphabetical order minecraft follows aside from pointbased positions.
- Colours in the sidebar display do not all show up due to the maximum length of a sidebar display.
- Changing the maximum amount of glowing entities below the already existing ones (in amount) is possible. Not gamebreaking, but still illogical.
-
Players in survival can shut theirselves off of all functionality from the utility book.

<> Changelog:
Version 1.0:
- Added red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple as available glowing colours.
- Added an eraser to get rid of any of the six applied colours.
- Added a control panel inside the player's textbox including a help & technical information menu, a version checker and and an 'all' function.

Other versions in update log.

Version 1.8:
- Coming soon

[!] Important notice [!]
As this datapack relies on teams and nametags to fully function, it is important to be cautius in either creative and survival. This is due to the fact that any given name or joined team is overwritten. Although mostly pets are given a name and any entity other than a player is usually not part of a team, but let's say that they do, be sure to give an entity a name afterwards and use your own teams, and their colours, for uses like pvp or pve.

Version 1.7 : by Cubyc 07/22/2019 7:55:10 amJul 22nd, 2019

Version 1.7:
- Added an option to turn on or off feedback particles. These particles will lit up on any available mob or animal. Same colours will not trigger, eraser will only trigger on coloured entities.
- Added an option to kill off the excess glowing entities. This function will come in handy after e.g. having 17 coloured mobs and setting the maximum to 10, the kill excess function kills 7 random coloured entites.
- Updated the help menu and technical information.
- Minor bugfixes.

How name tags work in minecraft, not in the way I intend in this datapack. As a player however, you are able to join the desired team to get a coloured glow effect. Like with 'glow_red', you'll be red.
