Hi all! As a huge fan of the Crucible part of Destiny (despite its imbalances), I thought I'd try my hand at making a multiplayer-focused Destiny mod. So far I've implemented random engram drops that then translate into different tiers of randomized loot, a drop-in/drop-out multiplayer system, player accounts, grenades, one game type (Control), and private storage for all your loot and engrams. And there's more to come, of course: more game types, more loot, more powers, leveling, leaderboards, the works! The file above contains the mod and a ReadMe file on how to get it up and running.

Now, for all that above a little more in-depth:

*Loot: 4 tiers of swords - Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Exotic - which each have different randomized attack damage. The rarer you get, the greater chance of also having a powerful enchantment on your weapon. Each player gets a random drop at the end of each match. Speaking of matches...

*Matches: Customizable game types and arenas. Set down two sand blocks and the boundaries of your arena will be automatically drawn in as a rectangle. Go out of bounds, and get automatically bounced back in. Set spawn points and special blocks to determine which game mode you want (right now only Team Deathmatch and Control, but more to come). Bring in your loot and get the edge on your opponents.

*Grenades: Throwable items that create a 3x3 box of fire on impact with a surface. Work on a 30 second cooldown, with individual cooldowns for each player on the server.

*Player Accounts: Kills are tracked, as is XP, and over time you can level up and gain access to better loot!

*Player Storage: Each player gets a unique chest with their name on it that only they can access. Place it in the world wherever you want to store your loot between matches.

Now, talking the philosophy behind the mod: I want to capture Destiny's awesome, loot-driven, Engram-powered economy of items, meaning that in there end there should be a lot of different weapons that do different things with different stats. What I DONT want to focus on right now is making CrucibleCraft about guns: coding guns in Minecraft is hard as heck, and trying to make them feel as good as they do in Destiny is probably a nigh-impossible task. So I wanted to get first the loot-grind/multiplayer-mayhem feel, then, if people want it, figure out how to make awesome guns.

So, I'd prefer it if this was a .jar... Does it work with forge?
