This was released about a month ago on Minecraft Forums, and was somewhat abandoned. Don't worry, the mcOverhaul Developers are back on the case!
mcOverhaul itself is a client modification that implements a buddy list and server list. The buddy list and server list both have a lot more than meets the eye however, which makes it an extremely useful modification.
If you have a vanilla Minecraft you can use this patcher to install mcoverhaul automatically, instead of manually!

Installation:
- Open the zip file with an application like WinRAR
- Open your minecraft.jar located in %appdata%/.minecraft/bin/ with WinRAR
- Drag all files inside the mcOverhaul.zip into the minecraft.jar
- Delete the META-INF folder inside the minecraft.jar
