!!!WARNING!!!
IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH INDUSTRIALCRAFT OR BUILDCRAFT!

Hey everybody, this is the first mod that I have ever made.
It adds Meteorite blocks that are generated near surface level.
You are able to make meteorite tools, and meteorite armor out of this stuff.
THE METEORITE IS STRONGER THAT DIAMOND, BUT DUE TO ITS RARITY, IT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME TO COME ACROSS SOME!

*THIS REQUIRES MODLOADER*

TO INSTALL: DOWNLOAD RISUGAMI'S MODLOADER

double click theses files:

1) modloader

2) This mod

Right click this file and hover over open with, wait for the menu to appear, and then click winrar or whatever you use:
Minecraft.jar in %appdata%.minecraftbin

Then copy/paste files in modloader into minecraft.jar and then the files in meteorite mod into minecraft.jar
Progress: 100% Complete
Game Version:Minecraft 1.8 beta

I actually thought of making the block radioactive, like making it so that if you are too close to if for too long, then you will start taking damage :3

nice transfer of concepts from terraria to minecraft. The textures look a bit weird though...I imagine them looking like bedrock. Consider changing the textures.

It reminds me of terraria ...

It is a block that is more rare than gold, and it only spawns at Y:60 to Y:70

Just keep looking around those altitudes...

you can see the altitude by pressing F3 with the minecraft window open.

It will say in the very top left X: ...

Y: ...

Z: ...

LOOK IN THE Y FOR THE ALTITUDE

The first picture is the block itself, the second one is a combination of 4 meteorite shards

You smelt the shards into ingots to make into tools

Is it just the block you use to make the tool and such? Or is there an ingot or dust or something?
