UPDATE 10/13/2017: I'm going to update this mod, stay tuned
Minecraft is getting boring? Install Revolution!
Revolution is a minecraft forge mod that adds all kinds of stuff into the game.
Features
At the moment, the main feature of the mod is adding ai humans into the game.
Humans!
Feeling alone? Add some humans to your aliance! They will follow you and help you attacking mobs.
You can give them gear like swords or bows or armor too.
Once you allied the human, you can give them items like swords or bows or armor, by first selecting a item in your hotbar, then rightclick the human and then press give item. The human should now either hold the item in his right hand or on his head/torso/legs/feet.
Hell spiders!
Like spider, but in hell
Normal-sized Spiders!
Like spiders, but not huge
Short bows are faster, but deal less damage.
Crafting recipes
Planned features
* When you change a human's name, he should change his skin to the appropiate player skin
* Multiplayer support
Installation
Installation of forge
Explaination and downloading
Revolution needs a modification called "forge"
You can download it here
Windows users have to download the "Installer-win" under the "recommended" tab.
OSX and linux users have to download the "Installer" under the "recommended" tab.
Installing forge
Now you have to install the forge modification, fortunatly, it has got a easy-to-use installer.
NOTE: The forge installation only works if you ran minecraft 1.8.0 at least once
Windows
Open the forge-1.8-<SOMETHING>.exe file that you just have downloaded, and click ok/install. Wait until the installation is finished.
OSX
Open the forge-1.8-<SOMETHING>.jar file that you just have downloaded. If you get an error message that says that it couldn't open it, because it isn't from a verified developer, try launching the forge installer by going to your downloads folder(or where you stored the installer), rightclicking it, and pressing open. When the installer comes up, press ok/install.
Wait until the installation is finished
Linux
Open the forge-1.8-<SOMETHING>.jar file that you just have downloaded. When the installer comes up, press ok/install.
Wait until the installation is finished
Installation of revolution
Now we are going the install revolution itself.
NOTE: You have to run minecraft at least once after the forge installation
Windows
Press the windows key + r and enter "%appdata%"(without the quotes) into it. Now search for the ".minecraft" folder. If you can't find it, press windows key + r again and enter "%appdata%\.minecraft\"(without the quotes) into it this time. Now, drag your "revolution-<SOMETHING>.jar"(assuming you already downloaded revolution) into the "mods" folder
OSX
While in finder, press cmd + shift(the arrow over fn) + g and enter "~/Library/Application Support/minecraft"(without the quotes) into it. Now, drag your "revolution-<SOMETHING>.jar"(assuming you already downloaded revolution) into the "mods" folder
Linux
Open your ".minecraft" folder. Now, drag your "revolution-<SOMETHING>.jar"(assuming you already downloaded revolution) into the "mods" folder
Extra information about the installation:
* You can copy and paste most of the stuff
* I can't be very specific about the installation under linux, because there are many different linux operating systems
If you have got any ideas, questions or suggestions, feel free to add a comment
