  • Firearms now take in ammunition to load rather than to fire

  • Crafting a Kettle with a Bucket of Water and Tea Leaves will give a Kettle of Cold Tea
  • Smelting a Kettle of Cold Tea will give you a Kettle of Tea
  • Teacups can be made from Clay
  • Right clicking with a Kettle of Tea will fill a Teacup to make a Cup of Tea
  • Right clicking with a Cup of Tea will instantly recover 2 hearts

It is not currently possible to use this on a server. I would love to create a server version, but there are certain things preventing me from doing so:


1. I don't have all that much free time at the moment.
2. The mod itself is beginning to push the limits of what Minecraft can take. I really need to port it to Minecraft Forge in order to continue with it.
3. All my programming skill is in local code. I have very little knowledge in online data transmission, and would not know where to start in modding for a server.
4. I don't know how Minecraft servers work, having never set one up myself.

Unfortunately, I can't do that. If I update to 1.9 pre without the Minecraft Forge API (which is currently only available for 1.8), then the mod will actually become incompatible with Minecraft itself, since Minecraft will only allow for a certain number of graphics in the game, and Steamcraft + all the new stuff added in 1.9 will go over that limit. Forge can allow this limit to be breached.


I also don't have the time to update this right now. I may be able to find some spare in December, but not now, I'm afraid. Unfortunately, you're stuck with 1.8.1 until then. :/

In your download. You probably noticed that there were 3 folders, but you only needed to use two of them to install the mod. The third is a bit of basic help on how to use it.

If you fail to find it there, you can find the image files on the second post of the Minecraft Forum page.

does this mod get rid of redstone like it said in the vid because ive got a lot of redstone wiring that took me ages to put in and get working.

Technically no. The mod changes Redstone, so that it becomes Copper Wire. Any previously placed Redstone will simply turn into Copper Wire. This is true for items from other mods that require Redstone to craft; you simply need to use Copper Wire instead. 


However, I recommend not loading an old world after installing this mod, simply because the new ores will not generate unless you are in an unexplored area.

Then you didn't install the mod properly. The mod is for 1.8.1, but if you install the mod incorrectly, then it will not run correctly. I recommend force updating Minecraft and trying again.

May I use your terms and conditions as a template for my own? I finished a huge map and don't want people to steal it or post it on their servers. Many of the terms and conditions will be different but I would like to get your permission before I use this as a template.

If you bothered to read around a little bit, then you'd know that a lot of people have this issue because they failed to install the mod correctly. Either ModLoader was not correctly installed or the "Place contents in .minecraft folder" step of installation was done incorrectly. I'm getting totally sick of posting this so many times. I wrote IN HUGE LETTERS that people should check the Wiki before asking questions. THE ANSWER IS ON THERE. I really feel like just ignoring any more reports of this "error". I'm sick to death of it, and it only occurs because people fail to follow the installation correctly. If you really want to know the solution, you should just do as I say and CHECK THE DAMN WIKI.

For some reason, when I use 7-zip and move the required files to minecraft.jar, it says that it's being used by another program or the program using minecraft.jar crashes.

7zip occasionally presents problems when editing Minecraft's files. Either switch to a different compression software or don't use mods. It's as simple as that.

As I said, it's only occasionally. By that I mean that the problem is intermittent. You can install many mods with 7-Zip, and then have it not work on the last one. If you're utterly convinced that 7-Zip is not the problem, then ensure that not only Minecraft is closed, but any of the Steamcraft files you are attempting to move, too. If they are, then 7-Zip is the problem.

The MC Patcher will not be able to correctly install the mod. If it didn't work after you installed it, then you did something wrong. I have a reasonable amount of quality control. I would not release the mod if it didn't work.


As I have said before, many times, I need the error log to help you.
