Prologue:

One day, a day that could of been like any other, Steve went out to mine for resources to finish his super efficient 1,000 drops and hour mob spawner. Steve got suited up in his full level 30 enchanted Diamond Armor and equipped his torches in one hand, taking a sword and a pickaxe. Steve used the ever popular "dig straight down, then branch" technique to get to Y=12 like any other time. Steve had noticed that the area he had decided to use for this branch mine felt different but he wasn't sure why, he just felt a certain... unease in the air. As Steve approached the designated Y-Coordinate he equipped his Diamond Pickaxe and started mining for resources. Steve found the usual bunch of Coal, some Iron, a handful of Redstone. Steve found a Diamond, and as he mined the last Diamond and picked it up he noticed something different. Behind the Diamond was an our unlick no other he had ever seen before. This ore appeared to be... fused? It appeared lie a normal block of stone, but with what appeared to be an Obsidian like material incased inside. It looked almost as if this material was coming from inside the stone and trying to envelop it from the inside.

Steve readied his Diamond Pickaxe and then went to mine this material, it took him a little longer than expected, but as the block broke this material seemed to implode on itself, fracturing into little pieces of itself. When Steve fused this material together into a block it turned into Obsidian. After this even Steve started noticing more and more occurrences where it appeared that and ore was trying to over-take a stone block, and every time he would break it the result would be a fractured remnant of the ore.

What is causing this strange occurrence? Is something happening to the overworld? Is it for the better? or the Worse? Will Steve be able to stop this if it is the worse?

This is where your story begins....

UPDATE:
All item tiers now craftable (waraxe, spade, shovel, and sword)
New item "Gold Rod" (Gold Ingots in the form of a | in the crafting grid)
New item "Obsidian Rod" (One Obsidian gives 9 Rods in Crafting Table)
All items now use Obsidian Rod's to craft.
Quartz and Gold still use stick
King set uses Gold Rod to craft
Made Kingot recipe use Fractured gold in place of Gold Ingot
Behind the scenes work for the new mob and dimension

Currently all ores are super rare (As rare to spawn as emerald) but spawn in larger veins, until I implement my own dimension that is :) (Working on all of the textures on the side currently)
