XP-Storage Mod in Vanilla Minecraft 1.12
Don't want to loose your XP on Death? Then you can store the experience in the XP-Storage and you won't loose your XP again! Just jump on the emerald block of the Storage and it will be stored. Sneak on the block to get your XP back.

How to build the XP-Storage:
How to use it:
Jump on the Emerald-Block to store XP. Sneak on the Emerald-Block to get XP!
Breaking the Storage:
If you break the Emerald Block the Storage-Entity will be killed and the XP will be dropped. If you break anything else of the Storage (Example: the Lime Glass), the XP won't be dropped until you destroy the Emerald Block. But you can also repair it just by placing the destroyed block again (Example: the Lime Glass). Then it will work with the saved XP.

For the testing i could do is enchanting remove the level but not the xp so when you put it back you have the same number as before.
You need to updated it by killing something and collecting the orb.
Same if you give yourself 100 level with console command and try to put it in. It doesn't update the xp score itself, just the lvl score. So, you loose your lvl but no xp is added to the storage.
The command that let you add xp to yourself work fine.
Also, i saw that sometime after quitting and coming back a couple time. Sometime the xp pad fail to recognize the xp you put in.
In short, i think there some quick with how minecraft store xp and level that cause the problem. This might also be why most mod doesn't store xp but directly the LVL.
