When i visited New Orleans, I went over this bridge, and i thought it would be cool to build here in mc, also Foxshot was doing a bridge contest, so i was like why not! Enjoy!

The bridge was built in 1932, it was built to carry two tracks of the southern pacific rr over the Mississippi River. Obviously things changed. The original bridge had two train tacks in the middle and 2 lanes of U.S. 90 on each side of it. Apparently that wasn't enough.The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development started a 1.2 billion dollar widening protect. On June 16th 2013, the widening project was completed and was opened to motorist. They expanded the highway lanes from 2 9 feet wide lanes to 3 11 feet wide lanes. I hope you enjoyed!
