The Denver Zephyr was a passenger train operated by Chicago, Burlington and Quincy between Chicago and Colorado. The first DZ was a 10 car articulated train with EMD EA "Shovelnose" locomotives pulling it. In 1955, the Burlington decided to reequip it. The new DZ was a 10 car non-articulated train with domes. CB&Q's operations ended in 1970.
