This is an expansion to my first project wich is here: http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/100-261486/

the Schematic uploaded here, is the one for 10 slots, for now, so you can see how it works.
The basic idea, with using bedrock inside walls and in the vault (theres lots of room to "disguise" it), is to not having it depend on plugins, for "protection" to be safe. only someone with the rights to take down bedrock (worldedit "superpickaxe" or creative as an example).

Well, my new project is to make a 50 slot, or maybe a 100 slot system, for that i want people to post some ideas that can help optimalize the system. by checking out the 10slot one.

one of the other idea's i have with this in the end, is that il make an "expansion" project tho this, so it will be incredibly easy to expand this, with a copy paste, some things will need to be done manually. but as easy to use as possible.

but still, do not give me any ideas to integrate this with a plugin like pailstone or any other redstone mod, cause i want this to be usable in singleplayer or just a small server, that doesnt want to depend on plugins.

will update this 1-2 a week, since i got a few things going on right now, but should be able to finish this pretty quickly.

and start a new project.

Additional Notes

If you didnt wanne read everything, the schematic uploaded atm is just the 10 slot system.
The full 50 will come when im done, no earlier, its done when its done.

The top of the bulding is left like it is, so its possible to build whatever you want over the vault, in future updates, i might lower to vault so it will be flat behind it.

One of the idea's a player had on my server was to make something like the item shop building that Human has in Warcraft 3, forgot the name of it, arcane something? im too lazy to google im sorry. but might be cool. will upload if its accomplished, and looks good.

I really like this. Like, I've loved it since i saw the first version a long ass time ago. And i find the desire to make it work with purely vanilla awesome.

I do have to ask, in what way does it offer protection? Surely anyone wanting to steal items, just calls the number minecart they want to steal stuff from? Or are you intended to add a pin system or something?

I have no problems with cart 2 either...
Awesome bank, i will be using it in my SMP.
Only a couple of things: the bottom could do with being bedrocked, and the cart chamber could probably use some more light. Other than that perfect :) I look forward to seeing you're 50 or 100 slot version - how is it coming along?

Havent had so much time to work on it lately. working on a RPG server with a team of friends, and implementing it there soon. then il pick up the work again. at least for the 50 slots for starters. and develop it as we get players (Hopefully). will post pictures of our projects and towns soon. we got a fully working "train" system, works pretty good so far, but we dont have way to many destinations yet.

Wierdly enough - now i have problems. After doing nothing with it i went to try it out again, pressing number 6, the cart went to where the number 1 cart waits... And since then nothing works, no carts come to the station, number 10 was the only one that moved, and i couldn't figure out where the hell it went to, but the number 1 cart lane seem to quite often have 2 carts on it. I had made minor asthetic alterations, so i deleted it and replaced it as it is in the schematic, and it is just the same. So i tried it on another world, that it definitely worked on before, and sure enough, same thing... I had my friend try it on his minecraft (we both have 1.1), and he gets the same problem, but redstone wise everything looks in tact, I think this is the first time i have used it since upgrading to v1.1, but i can't think why that would make much difference. I also tried it on my laptop which never had minecraft previously, and that gets the same issue, i even redownloaded the schematic to make sure. I'm a bit perplexed - i can't see any problems, it's as it came in the schematics and it definitely used to work.

Possible cause of the problem: i found by disrupting the carts - there are 2 carts on each lane occupying the same space on every lane - exactly the same line, to the point of only one cart can be seen, but theres definitely 2 there, because if i knock them they separate. The bumping physics of minecarts seems to be throwing it off.

edit: okay, i severed each of the lines and left only 10 intact, when tried on it's own 10 went to lane 1...

this turns out because there was another cart stuck in the system - cleared it, and tried cart 1 - works fine... (having cleared all the duplicated carts 'hiding' in the stone at the start of each line. Cart 4 also works now, and it goes back to Lane 4.

So if anyone is having problems my recommendation for now would be disrupt the carts ever so slightly from their resting positions to see if there is multiple carts there - even if there's no reason there should be, clear each of the duplicate carts and make sure the system doesn't have an errant carts in it and you should be fine. I will test it with all 10 lanes reconnected tonight

One small other problem is when i tried cart 4 the first time, it didn't make it to the 2nd powered rail for some reason - though has done after that

Okay, i've now tested every cart. All of them work (though not on the very first pass through - the very first pass through they go to lane 1 - after that if you destroy the cart and replace it on the lane it should be on and push it off yourself to go round again that will correct it for some reason.

With the exception of 2... Cart 2 is getting the same problem as Erelde pointed out, with the detector track going the wrong way. I'e tried making it face the other way to start with - this doesn't work, it always faces the wrong whether powered or unpowered it always ends up facing lane 1. Maybe this is something to do with rotation before placing the schematic? Even physically knocking out the track and replacing it doesn't work, when you replace the track it starts off facing lane 1, only removed the track on lane 1 lets it face the other way, and as soon as it goes over the detector rail, it switches to facing to lane 1 immediately.

Here i think it's beaten me, but 9 out of 10 working isn't bad. i've just labelled 2 out of order. Can i make 2 suggestions for your bigger build?
1)A 7-seg display for the teller's side illustrating what cart is in the station (i guess you could put one custoemr side too if you wanted)
2)A simple 'report error' lever which lights up something on the teller's side, and the custoemr can place a sign next to the lever telling them what went wrong so an admin can try to fix it.

Anyway, thanks for a great build, besto f luck with your 50 slot version

I cant understand why you have problems at all xD been using it for months now with no problems at all. no carts hanging or going to the wrong place.

I heard a while back that they were gonna let Redstone go vertically. so i put the project on ice for a while. so it would be easier to make it more compact and less circuits going over and under eachother, And from there then add more functions to keep it safe for use.

il get it into my new world this week, ive copied it over worlds 3 times allready without any glitches,. but we'll see this time i guess. been a while since i did it.

And the Vault room wont have bedrock in the bottom when im done with it ^^ dont worry about that.

Well I've had no problems with it since - even with the switch to 1.2 (I could swear they decreased the area that redstone torches effect). But I wouldnt hold your breath on the redstone going vertically - i get the feeling that'd break quite a few existing creations and so they probably wouldn't add it but that's just my two cents. I would say if you wanted to finish this one it was probably best not waiting for redstone to go vertically.
