Even more compact! now 3x2 space per bit.
This RAM abuses a type of piston bug so it may become useless in the future, but for now it rocks.

Not sure if i will make a 4th design as i dont think i can make it much smaller

piston bug? do u mean pistons getting powered vertically (diagonal) but will keep its state even though theres no power? i dont think it should get fixed :D

yeah i hate that :L really annoying when you try to make compact circuits with pistons

yep it compacts some redstone gates but might get annoying, once i was doing some boring bussing and couldnt figure how y one line is always powered, i ripped the entire thing out, checked for about half an hour and eventually found a piston not working properly, this sucks in some ways...

Well there are 16 8bit registers in this, each 8bit(1byte) register can store 8bits of data.
And each 16 of these registers can store whatever data you want it to without affecting another
