Due to the fact that I haven't worked on this project in a long time I am going to make it temporarily inactive, I wanna do it but a CPU has been done before, maybe if I have time I will start this up again. :)
I am just starting this project, this is really cool, but I know if I don't advertise that I'm doing it that it will never get done. More pictures and details once I do more work.
To-Do:
1. Everything
2. Cpu
3. Gpu
4. Ram
5. Display
6. other things
7. Data Bus
8. Imput Method
9. ALU - In-Progress

Update #1.3 : by pingpong1109 10/04/2012 8:07:32 pmOct 4th, 2012
Decided to re-build the ALU, my other design didn't work well. Sorry I have been busy with life and stuff like that, but I will finish this.

Just
a pointer: It's usually not a good idea to start with the UI and branch
off from there. I like to start at the ALU and build on from there.
Never liked vertical ALU's either, they tend to be a lot slower when
adders have to ripple carry. I'd go with a horizontal ALU and build
components vertically. For example, the RAM on top of the ALU. That way
you'll have very short buses for the data and it will be easier to
branch off of the reading bus for GPU's, decimal displays, and other
peripheral attachments. Don't worry about program memory and the UI until you're done with everything else.
Anyway, good luck! Diamond, sub, and all that good stuff. Can't wait to see it when you're finished. :)
You have my support.
