Edit: I've updated this post as a couple of people managed to convince me to finish it (minus a few un-detailed walls here and there), I don't expect to come anywhere near winning so this is just for fun really.
Firstly I would like to say that this build has been great fun regardless of if I complete it as I have used it as an excuse to build all the things that I always wanted to have a go at. I would also like to note that it was just me building it but if anyone wants to come build with me you can check out the Genesis Server.
The Ship of the Damned
If you look into the sea of lava you can see the ship of the damned moored up for it deadly crew to walk the land. The ship is my first ever ship and I am very pleased with the results, I think at least of the judges are ship experts so I don't think this is going to be wide felt but for a first I do not think it bad. Also when I was building it I was worried it was actually going to be too big and you can imagine how I felt when I looked at the finished thing and realized it was much smaller than I imagined however I hope that I might be able to compensate for this by taking the picture really close up *evil smile*.
The Gates to Heaven
In hell there is a large gate, this gate has a small enough opening and leadsstraightonto the stairway to heaven however the door is small and only those who are willing to let go of their greed and money may fit through.
This is theback-storyto the gate which was one of the first things I built, I have finished it and only need to add a few more clouds and stuff. I am quite pleased with the way it has turned out as I thought having thequartzin the nether was a great contrast.
The Devils Cauldron
This more unusual thing spurs from an image in my head. When I think of hell for some reason I imagine acauldronfull of lava where the people are boiled. I suppose some people don't know what a cauldron even is but if youGoogleit I think I didn't do a bad job of making one. It was another thing that just had to be in the project.
This is one of the reasons why I had some problems too. The keen eyed among you would noticed that it is made out of wool. I will now sum up with maths what meant I had to rebuild 2 times. Wool + Lava + Failed serverfire-spreadprotection = Burnt down pot.
The Cathedral of the Fallen
The Cathedral of the Fallen is the place where all those who hate and can not understand why they are in hell go to curse God. I am really proud of what I managed to do with it and I think it has turned out really well.
The Fallen Angel that Became a Beast
One of the things I've always wanted to make is a Dragon and I thought this contest was the perfect opportunity however I didn't get to do a whole body (building a dragon is hard) but at least it is a scary face, I'm sure no-one will notice the missing bits. In seriousness, the dragon is the fallen angel (which I assume people know is the Devil) and has been torn apart and eroded by the earth.
