Lore
In a time years ago, there lived a glorious civilization. The land: bountiful, its people prosperous and joyful. They lived In castles and houses of rich gems and materials gathered far from the realm. Fighting brutal wars and containing much wealth, they were known across the world for their power and bravery. Their metropolis was protected by 4 monks. Each monk channeled a power of the four elements, Water, Earth, Fire and Air. With these powers they would warden the city from monsters, demons, and enemies alike. These monks were well cherished throughout the kingdom. Kings; no... More than that, they were gods, immortal in the eyes of their people. A mere thought of them was prominence enough. For many generations they kept the peace, the monks growing along with the civilization. They kept their presence and existence known, gaining wisdom of battle and great architecture. They began construction of a palace where their beloved leaders would call their new home. The palace Consisted of 4 main buildings for each monk to settle. These people decided to construct this shrine in the center of their city. Sheltered by their people these gods were as safe as they could be. Although, Soon enough the orbital solstice of the kingdoms seven moons arose. During this time, the true gods of the elements could see straight through all 7 worlds. Displeased with much of the people whom were inhabiting their expanse, they unleashed a terrible wrath to wipe out the entire realm. When the gods saw through to these gifted monks, and how their people were treating them as gods (for surely they were not). They saw them as thieves. The magnificent city was pummeled with raging storms of scorn. Floods drowned nearly half of the population, and worst of all; they were destroyed by the environment they had grown to develop their whole civilization around. The city began to close in on itself, lava seeping through cracks boiling the people alive. The monks fought back as much as they could, yet the gods seemed to be draining their powers. They tried to hold back the fury as long as they could. Yet it seemed pointless, as the gods intended to exterminate the whole world. Wipe it clean. As the monks contemplated what they should do. Aphaya, the earth monk began to do the unthinkable. He began to lift the city out of the ground and into the sky. exerting the last bit of power left in his natural body he lifted it out of the worlds atmosphere away from the grasps of the cruel gods. Yet, Aphaya's abilities were fully drained. Her physical body could no longer withstand what she was doing. Still in the sky, the broken city stood and watched as Aphaya sunk into the earth becoming one with her civilization. She could no longer hold the city in the sky, so down it fell; into the desolate landscape that was now a living hell. Yet, a miracle occurred. The Shrine in the center of the city where the monks lived did not fall along with the rest of the city. It stood motionless wrapped in a blanket of blue waiting for its four fathers to return.
