This project initially started with the 1.3 update, when out searching the newly generated desert I came across a pathetically small village comprised of a blacksmith and a church. Blocking off the doors I trapped the villagers inside and marked off a perimeter wall out of sandstone.
I've built up the city adding housing for the villagers, some wooden roads and 4 corner towers, which are pictured in this project.
I'm currently in the process of flattening out the surrounding dessert and extending the wall by some distance, I plan on building separate districts, including a bazaar area and palace. As for decoration I'm thinking a sort of Babylonian hanging garden type deal, with lots of flowing water.
UPDATES TO FOLLOW
Greco-Arabian marketplace is complete, the border walls I have decided to tear down after completing several larger buildings. The marketplace will have an open ceiling with red and white drapes (wool) in the corners. It will also have a plaid-wood floor pattern and have a canal coming in from the side.

Additional Notes
If anyone is able to do this it would be awesome to have a vanilla texture pack with edited testificates, for example I think it would be pretty cool to have a few of them with turbans and put them in the market place.Progress | 30% complete |
