Axeman's Bane is a survival challenge where the axeman (the player) must wield his axe for the ultimate goal of stripping down a dense forest located on a small island in the middle of a massive expanse of ocean waters. The axeman will gain new tools and perks as he progresses through the forest. However, one should beware that at night, hoards of endless hostile mobs will emerge from the darkness to threaten the player and hinder his progress.

The ultimate goal of the Axeman's Bane survival challenge is slightly deviant from that of a normal survival island map. Instead of focusing on means of survival alone, the axeman is burdened with the task of chopping down a large forest. Early on, the player is provided with a powerfully enchanted diamond axe and a few select pieces of armor as a means of starting out.

Additional Notes

The texture pack used in the pictures is the Dokucraft Light Texture pack, which I recommend the player use, as it seems to fit the gameplay style better than other texture packs I experimented with. The map was created by me through the use of the World painter Minecraft application, which may be downloaded here.

Challenge summary, Rules, and Notes all included in a signed book and quill the player receives upon spawning, along with a complete map of the island.
