A DreamWanderer & Stubbs Collab!Hi there!
Today we bring you a collab, that wasn't originally going to be a collab (but I sure am glad it became one! :D ). Big props to DreamWanderer for going far beyond me just asking "how would you do the dragons on this spire?", and joining in on this speedrun of a project.
This building is called Børsen, and sadly, recently burned to the ground on 16.04.2024. While the real building itself will (most likely) not be rebuild, at least, we can now enjoy and remember the building in Minecraft. While our recreation is not a 1:1 scale (as usually we eye-balled everything), we tried to play into the strengths of Minecraft, our own strengths and skills, while staying as true to the real life building as we could.

Det startede egentlig med en joke mellem mig og nogle venner på universitet, at hvis jeg virkelig kan bygge så hurtigt som jeg siger jeg kan, ville det ikke være noget problem at genskabe hele Børsen på under én uge. Mit ego tog dog lidt for meget over, og jeg jokede tilbage med at sige "det ville tage mig en weekend" - Men, det man siger må man overholde, så d. 27.04.2024 begyndte jeg at genskabe Børsen ud fra Google Maps (primært billeder fra 2020-2022), og d. 28.04.2024 (i dag), uploader jeg resultatet.
En gang imellem er det utroligt hvad en joke og et om tider lidt for stort ego kan gøre :')
The Stock Exchange is a building located on Slotsholmen in Copenhagen. It was constructed in the 1620s as a trading venue by Christian IV and functioned as a commodity exchange well into the 19th century. Until 1974, the building housed the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. The Stock Exchange is considered one of the finest examples of Dutch Renaissance architecture in Denmark. Today, the site is owned by the Danish Chamber of Commerce and served as an office building and headquarters for one of the country's largest business and employer organizations.
Early on April 16, 2024, a fire broke out at the Stock Exchange, and the Dragon Spire collapsed. Over half of the building was engulfed in flames, the roof collapsed, and parts of the outer wall collapsed two days later.
This was built in JAVA Edition version 1.19.3, with Creative mode and World Edit

Only nitpick would be the lack of roof lining on the roofing of the windows on the roof (if that make sense).
Anyway, well done. The build doesn't look like a two day build in a good way.
I actually tried adding the tiling into the roofing on windows and other places, but it looked super wonky, as it ended up looking as if the roofing had spikes on the side-view render :'D So it was intentionally removed, even if it isn't consistent with the rest of it :)

Yeah, in that way it makes sense it was removed.

You are a great help, and you should focus on that some more ;P instead of "if only I had been of more help" ---> "I was of good help"
Also, if you hadn't jumped on board, I wouldn't have had time to add any backgrounds or render it, and the statues at the front would still look like a guy sitting on a toilet :'D
