all you need to be able to build anything with redstone is a basic understanding of logic you know

Abstractly; a computer cauld be defined as.
A device able to calculate any partially recursive function.
Or, a device which can support any logical thought.

Physically; this equates to support for a number of lesser abilities.
The device must have:
A method of decision making ( ALU / comparator )
A way to follow and change its string of thought ( Program memory / Program counter )
A place to store the results of thoughts for later use in other thoughts ( main memory / RAM )

That's it, Ofcoarse there are a few things which can make computers more interesting ( like a keyboard and screen ) but there not part of what actually defines a computational device.

Does that make good sense ? I can clarify if any parts were too vague.

Yes you can call yourself an Expert. This an good example of creative players, and PVP maps? that's awesome!

I'm working on some redstone contraptions , just tell me if you wanna do co-buildings.
