Centuries ago, the mushroom people of the young deciduous forests were homeless. Without a central tree to nourish their fungus homes, they could not survive. So a young mushroom gnome by the name of Mrowgnir went on an epic hero quest to find a host tree, blah blah blah, not going to bore you with the details. Anyway he found this awesome tree that also had a spring in it, so that was cool, and the clan established their house there the end.
