After completing Jim, one of my other contemporary builds, I decided it was about time I moved on to bigger, nicer and all around more atmospheric builds. Considering Jim was on a plot, none of those could or would be achieved. So, I started construction of this beautiful beach side vacation home. Before I did anything, I had to make all of the terrain using World Edit. I made a rocky and rough beach, but smooth and hilly grass lands beyond that. The house can be considered a 2 story, 1 bed 1 bath home with a simple kitchen, cozy bar, and relaxing living room. The entire house is primarily composed of wood and stone, and one of my biggest goals of this home was to make a contemporary house without the use of quartz in the structure it's self. The contrast in wood and stones came out nicely, and I believe that decision to leave quartz out was a good one. This added to the atmosphere of the build, along with the hand crafted towering pine trees surrounding the home.

I believe modern and contemporary isn't just about looks and being square, it's about setting an atmosphere or mood. That's one reason why I made this build, is to show what I think about contemporary and modern architecture and what I feel it should be.

P.S.

Some of you may have noticed that the images do not look like the version of CUDA Shaders you have. This is because I did some heavy color filtering within the shaders, modified the lens flare and several other bits and pieces in attempt to make them look more cinematic and fit my standards more. If you like them or have any suggestions of what I could do to make them look better, please say so. I'm always looking forward to advice. And of course, I cannot give my copy of these shaders away, since they are already modified.
