After building some Tie-fighters i wanted to build something a bit more complex. But since star destroyers are being built on every server, i needed to find something new.
Being a big fan of Battlestar Gallactica i decided to make a Cylon Basestar, and this is the result after a couple of hours.

I've made a design for a Cylon Raider, I'm going to make a swarm of them around the Basestar.

it looks nice. but... why use editors on a server? isn't it more fun to build stuff by hand in SMP? or is it just me that likes actually playing minecraft? don't get me wrong it looks good.. but why take the game out of the game?

I didn't use an editor, made everything by hand. Its built on a SMP server, had to mine everything myself :)

then you should really specify what "a couple of hours" is.. this isn't only 2 hours of work. the description is missleading.

Its 8 hours of building, max. Lava isn't that hard, 1 bucket of lava flows out over a large area. Filled the entire top in about 30 minutes.

so you didnt fill the lava all the way to the top, it's just to cover the showing part? it's not a complex build i know, and the design is thin so it's not many blocks either. but that lava made me suspicious. alot of people try to pass their mcedit stuff off as handbuilding, and im not really a fan of that. but in that case, nice build. keep updating when you add the raiders around it.
