Hi all!
Yes, yes, yes. It has been a very long time since I posted anything real, or anything worth posting. But here she is! And for those thinking of making the comment, "Its not even the anniversery." For you're information, I have been working on it since the anniversery. I now finally have it finished, and ready to post for you guys to view.

For you're information, I have been working on it since the anniversery. I now finally have it finished, and ready to post for you guys to view.
Why I made it
The whole reason behind me making this map is very simple, I enjoy World War 2. And no offense to those viewing this post that have already made a similar map, but I was never satisfied with the ones ever made in Minecraft. I searched all over PMC, internet images, websites. And found nothing worth viewing. So I have been working my butt off trying to get soemthing realistic to the real D Day.
Time and plans
First, I would like to say I have been working on this since September. So around 25 hours in total, because I didn't have any time before now.
-Before I even took to the blocks, I did hours upon hours of research on bunkers, flack towers, artillery guns, beach obsticals, etc.
-After the research was done and I had tons of reference pictures, I started building the bunkers, guns, beach objects and such.
-After those were finished, I needed boats obviously. How else would the American, Canadian, and British soldiers get to Normandy? I looked up pictures on landing crafts, and large battleships. Then I of course had to Build them. Everything on this map is made by me, except the map, which is made by Lente. (The beach is a tad too small) And the planes which are made by Chriz.
-After the planes, boats and bunkers were finished. I started actually putting them on the map. I needed to know the correct order of obsticales, how the bunkers would be placed, and where the planes would be flying.
-To add more to the realism, I wanted bombs to be going off. But I did not know how to make them. So I tried my best, hope you like them!
-Once everything was placed on the map, all that was needed was the renders, which you see now.
As always, hope you like the map. And stay tuned for more epic posts!
