Geschichte der Müritz
- Als auch die Pilnitz das Ausrüstungsdock der Werft verlassen und den
Dienst antreten konnte, von Hamburg aus nach Quebéc, folgte
schlussendlich nur noch das dritte und letzte Frachtschiff dieser
Klasse, die Müritz. Sie trat ihre erste Reise im April 1904 an
Richtung Qubéc.
- Dezember 1903 Kiellegung der Müritz
- Jungfernfahrt April 1904.
- Für preisgünstigere Fahrten gab es die Möglichkeit an Bord für sechs
Passagiere in drei Kajüten zu Übernachten. - Gleich neuer Bezugshafen 1905
- Eine wichtige Verbesserung an Bord war der Wellentunnel mit dem die
Schiffswelle für die Schraube ein wenig mehr geschützter fungierte
und zudem mehr Schüttgut / allg. Fracht aufnehmen und befördern
konnte. - Die andere war die Hinzufügung des Ausguckes da es schon bei der
Pilnitz Probleme gab. - In der Nacht vom 7 zum 8 November 1907 riss die Funkleitung und es kam
zu einem kleinen Feuer an Deck, das aber schnell gelöscht werden
konnte. - In der Werft wurde die Leitung erneuert und die Müritz befindet sich
aktuell wieder im Dienst zwischen Bremen und Quebéc zum Transport
von Waren und Gütern. - Verbleib:

History of the Müritz
- When the Pilnitz was able to leave the shipyard’s equipment dock and
start service, from Hamburg to Quebéc, only the third and last
cargo ship of this class, the Müritz, followed in the end. She
began her first voyage in April 1904 towards Qubéc. - December 1903 Keel laying of the Müritz.
- Maiden voyage April 1904.
- For cheaper journeys, it was possible to sleep on board for six
passengers in three cabins. - Immediately new reference port 1905
- An important improvement on board was the shaft tunnel with which the
shaft for the screw functioned a little more protected and was also
able to pick up and transport more bulk material / general cargo. - The other was the addition of the lookout since there were already
problems with the Pilnitz. - During the night of November 7 to 8, 1907, the radio line broke and a small
fire occurred on deck, which was quickly extinguished. - In the shipyard, the pipeline has been renewed and the Müritz is
currently back in service between Bremen and Quebéc for the
