In my attempt to start a new redstone series I aim to create Death Machines or Torture Machines that you can freely add to your maps. In this one I've created a hidden fireball trap that you can integrate into any corridor.

There are several components to this design. The challenge was mainly to have pistons two blocks apart holding blocks to cover up the dispensers. The other challenge was to have repeated waves of Dispensers shooting whilst keeping the pistons open long enough.
I used simple inverters for the piston system, several clocks for the dispensers and a home-made pulse extender to keep the pistons open for a long time. The pulse extender consists of a line of alternating repeaters and blocks with repeaters stemming from each block going into a side current.
Not much to say on the design, simple sandstone corridor with the pistons either side.
