Twenty years ago a dark cloud has befallen upon the small village of Tristram.

King Leoric fell ill after the archbishop Lazarus decided that Tristram was going to be Khanduras' next seat of power. Unbeknownst to Leoric, underneath the old cathedral in the village, there lied the mystical Soul Stone of Diablo, an artifact that contained the essence of the demon lord. Lazarus' plan was to make Leoric the vessel of Diablo.

The nightmare has begun.

"The Darkening of Tristram" took place over the course of the following three years, during which townsfolk fell sick, died in suspicious circumstances, a series of strange caves collapsed near the town, releasing all sorts of demonic creatures, innocent people were massacred under Leoric's command, and the End of Days was foreseen.
It wasn't until one night, when Lazarus kidnapped Leoric's younger son and sacrificed him in the depths of the cathedral, when Diablo's essence was released. A series of heroes ventured into the labyrinth below, in an attempt to rescue the kid, only Leoric's older son came back...
There was something almost palpable in the air around him... it felt like terror.
Soon after, a hoard of demons raged, burned and destroyed the town, killing all remaining survivors.

Twenty years later, the cloak of horror still covers the area, and the town has fallen to disgrace. Nearby, a new town was founded by miners: New Tristram.
Will they live in peace, knowing hat a cult has risen form the ashes of old Tristram?
Will they still be alive while the Falling Star crosses the sky, striking nearby?


NOTE: The world contains Old Tristram, Leoric's Manor, Adria's Shack, Cemetery of the Forsaken, Weeping Hollow, New Tristram with all its' facilities and hidden constructions, Rogue's Encampment, The Old Cathedral with its' underground labyrinth that goes all the way down to hell, including Diablo's chamber.
It is currently done 85% because I still need to work on the catacombs beneath the Cathedral and make the story mode. It will be available for download as soon as these issues are fixed.
