A Massive Zelda Inspired Map..
For 1.17.1 ONLY

Please Note
Since Mojang updated how item frames work in Minecraft recently, it has removed the Invulnerable tag
on all item frames in this map, what this means, is a player in adventure mode can still break them, and try
not to click on one while holding an item or you may lose that item forever, I will fix this again soon,
it is a massive job so may take a while.

Remade for 1.17.1.. With all new Quests, Dungeons, Biomes and many other new secrets..

Make sure graphics are set to fancy or fast, if set to
fabulous the sign text will be invisible..


What is new in the full remaster..
New Builds, new commands, new signs and items, changed all villagers, created new dungeon layouts,
added more dungeons, added new biomes, new quests, every mob remade, added a shooting
game with new sound effects and custom music, added lots more animated models, added a new texture pack that
installs with the map.. Refined the data packs to run smoother. Added over 200 custom fonts..
Added all the new 1.17.1 textures and blocks.. Now 2 player compatible..
I Have spent over 800-900 hours remaking this..
Works with two players now..

There are many gameplay mechanics in this map, similar to the Zelda games, for example-
pushing blocks to find secrets, cutting grass anywhere throughout the world to find
emeralds and other items.. Using sticks to light torches and solve puzzles..
Wearing masks to see hidden things..
Using 3d modelled bombs to blow up cracked walls
Using certain weapons to enter new areas
and many more you will discover throughout the map..

Render Distance set to 11 or more.. Optifine is ok, but please don't use any other mods..
If you play this in any version other than 1.17.1 I can not guarantee success

Map Story
Diamond Sword is an RPG adventure map containing 6 dungeons, and a large world to explore, inspired by the Legend of Zelda games. Your journey will take you through ice palaces, mysterious forests, secret pyramids, haunted graveyards, nether towers, and many other places and dungeons on your quest to recover the legendary diamond sword and stop the evil wizard from spreading darkness across the lands. There are hidden villages, towns and endless secrets hidden throughout the world and many different places to discover...

Disclaimer
This map has lots of puzzles and tough mob battles, if you don't like that, this might not be the map for you..
This is a huge map with 1000's of commands, data packs and a hd texture pack to
make it work, a good PC is required or it will be very laggy...


Gameplay  Anywhere from 10 to 25 hours, depending on the player and how much you explore..

This map was quite popular when I released it 6 or 7 years ago, and has had around 100 000 downloads and lots of good reviews, but I thought it had lots of flaws and too many spelling mistakes, so 2 years ago I remade it again for 1.14.4, but now with Minecraft 1.17.1, Minecraft has added so many new blocks and items to the game, that I finally decided to update the map to the best version I could make with all the new things I have learnt from map making over the years, so here it is (1.17.1) and the vision I always had for the map from the first time creating the original. but could never do until now..

I had just finished editing and uploading a Let's Play series on my YouTube of this map. Tomorrow marks the finale. This map was so much fun, and the amount of effort put into this map just blew us away! It truly felt like a Legend of Zelda experience, with all the custom items, dungeons, and the mechanics! Oh, man! The mechanics!!! 1000 praises to the team!

I did forget to mention, there was 1 major issue we had run into, and it's likely due to funky multiplayer MC mechanics. You''ll see it half-way through Ep. 09, in the "7 holes in the ground" maze puzzle. The push-block challenge glitched out on us, and spawned multiple blocks as players kept entering other rooms. Then, everything just went crazy. We managed, but that was really the only main issue we had with the map.

Thanks SpiceyChicken for letting me know, I will check out your playthrough this weekend, I originally made this map as a one player map, I did update it to work with two players but never really had a second player to test the map out to see if it worked for two players, I wrote the commands as I expected them to work for 2 players but obviously a few bugs may have happened when playing with two or more players, I really hope you try out my crest map one day as it does support two players and should work fine, if you like older 1.8.9 maps, anyway shameless plug advertising my other map to you, sorry..

I really need someone’s help!!! I went back for the map in the ice palace and when trying to leave decided to teleport out of the boss area. But when I went up there, the door is no longer open and it won’t open again, so there’s no way for me to leave. Can someone tell me the coordinates of the main home?? Thank you!

Sarahcasmi I am not sure on the co-ordinates without loading up Minecraft 1.17.1 and going back into the map, just go into creative and break the iron door blocking you, and you can then teleport out from the passage of the boss room, if you can't do that let me know and I will go back into the map when I get a chance and give you the co-ordinates..

Hey walid0, thanks for playing it, there maybe a part 2 down the track, but it will be a few years away, as this map took a lot of work to make and I am limited for time these days..
