Up to last year I was member of a community of players on the Lyria
server, a german-speaking, medieval roleplay server. We exploited all
and everything Lyria had to offer and desolved our community because
we’ve seen it all and were looking for new challenges. With this
little presentation I’d like to show You the city we build as our
dwelling. In its hayday it had about 40 players working, building and
living there – and defending it, of course.
When
You go through the pictures, please remember the following
circumstances:
You can visit our construction server which will still be online for a
little while:

as well as optifine, both of which You can download by these links:

I do hope You enjoyed this presentation. As the (former) master mason of
the free city of Eickelburg it’s my honour to wish You all the very
best on behalf of our citizens and in the name of our Lord Mayor Onkel_Goetz.

When
You go through the pictures, please remember the following
circumstances:
- The city is
unfinished because we stopped the project. It does no longer exist
on the Lyria server itself. - It is no showpiece, but a working city, so every building is arranged
on Minecraft-chuncks of 16x16 blocks to provide shelter and storage
room for its owner. - All buildings are constructed appropriate to the player's size as well
as completely designed outside and inside with furniture. - For the construction we used Lyria’s own texture pack (link below) and
optifine in Minecraft-version 1.15.2. This makes a highly
specialized build which in default looks… strange. - The idea behind it was to build a north-european city from the days of
the hanseatic league. Therefore the main buildings are loosely based
on historic models: The cathedral on churches in Luebeck and
Stralsund, the main gate on the famous Holsten-gate in Luebeck or
the town hall on the palace of peace in Den Haag.
