The Lightning was built at a scale of 10 blocks per meter (10:1) by Luli1010, RV3NTOR and myself. It took approximately 15 hours over a period of 4 days. We decided to make this aircraft as its quite unique and beautiful. The F6 variant was the last version, that was not a trainer, used by the RAF. We decided to paint the XS929 livery on this aircraft, as many other livery options were either a bit to complex, or lacked sources. The source that we used for the livery was from Warthunder, therefore there may be some differences between the current livery on the real aircraft, compared to ours in minecraft.

The English Electric Lightning is one of the most iconic aircraft the British produced during the Cold War. It was a high altitude interceptor and the first jet that was able to gain speed as it climbed to altitude. It has a unique wing shape, as the wing is sloped 60 degrees backwards. Additionally, the engines which are Rolls-Royce Avon Mk.302's are stacked vertically and staggered, so that they aren't on top of each other. The Lightning was designed to intercept Soviet aircraft that threatened the V-bomber airfields.
