Run on 1.19.2 Vanilla server with command blocks enabled and spawn-protection 0! Alternatively open the map on LAN.
Two players required! Many of the puzzles are impossible in single-player!


This is an escape room adventure map for two players. You're allowed to break every block, build anywhere and craft anything. This map tests your Minecraft survival skills to the limit! You only have one try to beat all six room. You die you lose! Are you up to a real challenge?

Hints (Spoilers!):

Some rooms seem impossible at fist. However, the map has been tested thoroughly by independent testers. It's indeed possible! If you are stuck or think you don't know all the game mechnics check the hints below:

All materials can be useful. Make sure you always take everything before leaving a room with no return. This also includes things like signs and buttons.


Room 1

First hint
There is a crafting table outside the room. You can see and reach it if you jump.

Second hint
Craft a bone block from the bones to get one block higher.

Fourth hint
The button opens a door. One player presses the button, the other goes through the door.

Fifth hint
You can craft an amethyst block from amethyst shards. Make sure to mine it with a pickaxe to get all four shards you need for a block!

Sixth hint
The second room contains a chest with iron. There is a barrel close to the amethyst crystals in the first room. This barrel also contains iron. You can now craft shears. Use the shears to break the cobweb in the second room. You can eliminate fall damage by jumping into cobweb.



Room 2

First hint
You need to make a fire-resistance splash potion. Before doing that help your mate with getting down into the room 2: For that read the hints for room 1!

Second hint
You can use the signs, buttons, the crafting table and the two chests from room 1 and 2 for furnace fuel.

Third hint
Swim through the lava close to the window.



Room 3

First hint
You can only get across the lava by riding the striders. You need a fungus on a stick for that.

Second hint
You can get through 1 block holes by using a trapdoor: Place the trapdoor over the hole and open it. Then stand right at the trapdoor and close it. You can now crawl through the hole.

Third hint
You can break cobweb to get string.

Fourth hint
You can craft sticks from bamboo.

Fifth hint
Use the two trapdoors and the brewing stand from the previous room to build yourself up to the striders.



Room 4

First hint
There is a dropper in the ceilling that drops a piston and a slime block. Did you know that filling up the cauldron gives a redstone output? It activates the dropper.

Second hint
The chest is a trapped chest.

Third hint
You can use wool as furnace fuel. Wool can be used as fuel for 0.5 items.

Fourth hint
You can craft wool from four strings.

Fifth hint
Striders drop string.

Sixths hint
With the trapped chest, the piston and the slime block you can launch yourself up to the next level.



Room 5

First hint
You can craft a suspicious stew from the bowl, mushrooms and the flower. It gives you a 1.5 block jump boost for 6 seconds. Use the slab in combination with that stew to get up there. Then place the cobblestone (that you can find right next to where you just jumped up) to help your friend up.

Second hint
You can use powdered snow to eliminate fall damage. You can pick up and place powdered snow with a bucket.

Third hint
There is a sign up the stairs that you can use for fuel.

Fourth hint
You can find two netherbrick in a side-room with a barrel. Use those bricks with the nether warts from room 2 to craft a red nether brick.

Fifth hint
Buy the iron nuggets and get the remaining nugget by burning your pickaxe in the furnace with the sign you found upstairs. Use the iron nuggets to craft a bucket. You can now pick up the powdered snow.



Room 6

First hint
There are buttons with pistons (not sticky) next to the way out.

Second hint
You need to shoot the button with a bow an arrow. You can craft both the arrow and the bow with the materials available in this room.

Third hint
Gravel occasionally drops flint when destroyed.

Fifth hint
You can find the string placed on the ground.

This is definitely intended :) But it's super cool that you found that actually :)

I'll not patch this out. But for future players that want to beat this as intended with two players: You can (and as intended should) beat this without breaking any obsidian. I only added obsidian for the astetics and tried to patch out any possible escapes that way. Apparently I forgot one. Props for finding it :)

Also, about the trapdoors and blocks: You had to loose them to get up to the striders. For a normal two player playthrough it's not possible to have the string of the cobweb because one of the players has to clutch the deep hole with it I believe.

Cool and tough map. We failed the first time. We found a way out by using the decoration blocks from the last room. I think this is not intended. We have a question: In the hints (that we read after finishing the room) you say something about powder snow but there is only a snow block that can be broken into snowballs. But we did not need snow because we could use the crafting table twice or use the crafting table and the nether brick to fall down safely. And when we are down in the last room we don't need to trigger the piston because we can place the blocks we used to fall down to do a little parkour. (2x 2 block jumps). We played on Vanilla 1.19.3 Server. I have a VOD of the walkthrough but it's in german. We had a great time figuring out how to solve the riddles in the best way we could (and use fewer blocks as intended). Greets MrVTE

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the map. I'll look into these things. Been some time since I looked at the map but I remember that this is not a snow block but a powdered snow block. In this room you can make a bucket and pick it up to clutch down the hole. Didn't realize you can do the same with the crafting table. That's indeed not intended.

What does VOD mean? You mean a recording of the walkthrough? I'm German myself. If you could share that i'll be happy to watch it :)

Top! Vielen Dank! Tatsächlich sollte da ein powdered Snow Block sein und ich hab da einen Fehler gemacht. Im selben Raum könnt ihr das letzte Nugget bekommen um 3 Ingots zu machen, indem ihr eure Iron Pick verbrennt. Von einer Iron Pick bekommt ihr genau ein Iron Nugget. Den letzten Raum habt ihr tatsächlich ein bisschen gecheesed ;) Da konnte man einen Bogen machen aus den Items die dort waren. Mit dem Bogen kann man die Pistons aktivieren damit beide Spieler raus können. Ihr wärt beide auf den jeweilen Platformen gewesen und hättet euch die Items über die Kiste austauschen können. Hab das Level leider bisschen verkackt.

Vielen Dank fürst Testen. Werde bald einen Fix hochladen. Ich arbeite außerdem im Moment an einem weiteren Escape Room. Ist aber noch nicht fertig, weil es einige Bugs gibt und die Tester einige Cheeses gefunden haben. Wenn ihr Bock habt, könnt ihr den auch testen sobald er fertig ist (hoffentlich dann bugfrei). Habt ihr Discord? Dann kann ich euch bescheid sagen wenn alles fertig ist und kann die Map schicken. Mein Discord ist aleabodo#1778.

Very cool map I had much fun with my friend playing it! Though we overlooked some things and ended up solving it with a slightly different cheesy way ;).(without cheating)

So far great map. My son and I have made it through rooms 1 and 2. We had an issue getting all 8 copper ingots though - afaik 3 signs, a button, crafting table, 2 chests wasn't enough we needed an extra second so I had to cheat in one copper ingot.
