glowstone can now carry a redstone signal vertically with no delay, as the redstone torch tower had a minor delay.

Dude what exactly did you change aside from the context/look in which it is used? Isn't the original concept (portcullis gate) pretty much the same as this but bigger?

I built one of these a while back, before I even knew what a BUD was.... it took 2 seconds to trigger but did basically the same thing, and the wiring was ENORMOUS. This is a really nice small(er) and faster version, thanks for sharing!
