We all know Steve's past: sunny holidays on an island with all the stuff we can't even imagine...
He played in several casinos and won a lot of cash. He owned a huge yacht and even an own plane.
This is over now. But Steve writes a diary, so we could follow him.

Steve's Diary - Day 91
NOOO, that damn Creeper killed my Zombie! Die Creeper DIIEEE.
Now I need to keep an eye on my surroundings, too. Or at least again.
But what' that? I guess a chest, far far away... Wait a second, there's a path.
Worst idea ever to approach to this chest: I found melon seeds...
Steve's Diary - Day 92
What the hell am I doing here? I saw several creepers behind me and a zombie on the right, and I am
mining gold? I'm definitly too long down in underground... Already two month. And I found nothing really exciting.
Maybe I shall return to the surface. Additionally I have very few food left.
Ok, I'll return if nothing special will happen the next... week. Then I'll stay nearly 100 days under earth.
Steve's Diary - Day 93
Ok, I have a plan for the next mining-trip(s): Today I'll explore the adit next to the back-entrance of my my lovely
hobbit-hole. And tomorrow, or better when I'm back, I'll explore the adit ending into that stange cave with the
letters on the wall.
Maybe I need to put all the imported stuff and values into a chest...
But for this I need wood, I dont' even have one single log. That's crazy, I started with four stacks logs.
Where is all this wood gone? I guess I'll find some in the adits...

Oh, that was a short trip. I tryed to explore the first adit, but after 200 blocks and some "dead - end" signs there
was no more to explore. But I get some wood, so I can make the chests to protect all my stuff before I start the
second trip...

That's was a pretty good idea to explore this adit as the second. It's a bit larger...
I allreday found gold, iron, redstone, lapi... or short: I found all sorts of ore. I found a huge gravel field and two
slime-chunks. So I have enough slimeballs for the next pistons. Don't ask for what I'll use them I have no idea.
So maybe there's a new adit behind that corn.. DIIEEE only a Zombie and a cave.
Maybe I'll be back at surface faster then I expect, climbing always up now. And if I remember there should be the
cave with the letters on the wall.. Yes it is.
So there's only one direction, cause I came from the other. Looks like another adit. Just as the ot...
WHAT THE FU**? - What is that?
I'm definitely not leaving the underground before I know what's that is. It looks like a giant castle...
For the moment that's all I could find of his diary, but I'll keep searching. I promise.
This is my submission for the Caved In Project Contest.
I planed to make this castle some time ago. And as I noticed the contest I decided to build it in the cave.
It took about two weeks for the exterior and maybe the same time for the interior, but I guess it turned out very good.
So please give leave a comment and/or a diamond as feedback.
--> I'll continue the castle and it's parc after the contest in a "surface-world".

It's base on Festetics Castle in Keszethely, Hungary.
The town is situated in the west of the country, directly ambited to the western bank of Lake Balaton.
Festetics Palace is a baroque palace, which construction in 1745 by Kristóf Festetics. The building process lasted more than a century. It was started on the foundations of a older ruined castle, and tripled its size later.
After the dead of Viktor Rumpelmayer, the second architect, in 1885, the work was carried to completion by architects Gusztáv Haas and Miksa Paschkisch.
The result is one of the three largest country houses in Hungary.
Including over 100 rooms amongts others a concert hall, the former dining room and a library. The great book collection that still remains in the castle is the only extensive aristocratic library that survives in Hungary until today.

Steve's Diary - Day 71
Nothing special today, just cobble, everywhere just cobble.
I broke two pickaxes. And I slowly ran out of iron to craft new tools. But for the moment its enough.
Steve's Diary - Day 72
I found a new adit, it seems if I wasn't there until now... Hmm. I'm wrong, I was already here, three times
I guess. I need to make some signs and mark the dead ends.
By the way, I've just start off my last stack of food. This time it's meat again.

I didn't sleep well, in fact I sleept very bad. Cause I had a horrible nightmare. There was a giant cave,
absolutely dark. But the worst thing, I was almost at the top of it and there was no way down.
And then there was a Zombie behind me...
But I found another adit. And the best, I didn't explore it before.
I collected wood, and made signs for the dead ends. I already marked two of them.

Yeah, I found some iron ore just after breakfast. Steve is happy now... But what should I do without a fur...
AHH, CREEPER DIIEEEE... without a furnace?
I definitely need a save place away from all the evil undeground creatures. Then I could melt the ore and craft
new tools. And maybe I could sleep again...

What should I write, it's nearly the same every day... I ffound a nother adit with some ore in it.
I guess at noon, I slayed some spiders and a zombie. And yeah, he droped some iron.
So I made a new pickaxe, some signs, and a furnace. But there's still no place to hide outside the unsave
caves.
Steve's Diary - Day 76
Uahh... I just thought I need to get down and find some lava, so I could burn some cobble... And then there
was this canyon, 20 blocks deep and the bottom flooded with lava.
But I'm ok, and I found another small adit, a dead ends away from the main parts of this huge cave-system.
This would be my new home for some days... I just need to protect it a little more.

The little hobbit hole I found yesterday, according to the circumstances it's now a good place to live.
I could even say it luxurios... But at leats it's light, warm and save.
The second half of the day I spent on melting the ore and crafting new items. That should be enough for some
days now.
And I found a beautiful canyon ending in another one... So I'll explore them the next days.
I hope I'll find the way back to my little home...

Here I go... With new tools and a good place to live in, I'm exploring the canyons. And they are bigger then I
expected. I found already over twenty old adits and lots of ores.
Mayb... DIAMOOONDS... - I see diamonds and emeralds. First the diamonds...
And as I said yesterday, I hope I'll find the way back... UAHHH a creeper, that's definitely the wrong way...

Everything's going well, except the nights... No there are no evil creatures. At leats not in real, but in my
dreams. It's horrible!!
I told u of the nightmare I had some days ago? Sure I did.
It's crazy, I dreamed nearly the same story tonight, again. But this time the cave wasn't that dark anymore.
After I've see the Zombie behind me, I woke up... I'm just thinking about the dream...
Two times nearly the same?!
But as I said everything else is fine. I have already 14 diamond, at a save place in a chest.

Wow... 80 day in undergound... I don't even noticed as time passed by.
I'm not here for talking all day, but for mining, and that's what I do all day long.
I explore a huge adit now, with all the stuff I could imagine, cave spiders, rails, severel chest with all sort of
items, and many many more.
Btw, I already marked some dead ends again, and the way back to my little hobbit hole.
But this is just for the future in which I forget the way back...

It's kidding me!! If this doesn't end I'll go crazy. The same dream, AGAIN... This time with an evil chicken,
instead of a zombie. Ok it's just a dream... Three times ?!
But I need to go mining again. Yesterday I saw some iron-ore down the third canyon, and I want to have this.
Last thing for today: I just noticed that I have food for only two more week in underground.

Ok first the good part... I'm back in my little home. But now the bad one: I've replaced the door with stone.
Because just outside my home some creepers and zombies having big party tonight.
I guess I need a second exit...

What the hell is this?! here is a cave and next to it an adit. But the strange thing is the second cave there...
It's closed with a fence and in this cave is a strange blue/green sign at the opposite wall and the letters PMC.
What is it? I have no idea...
But I don't really care, because I found a nother save place near some unexplored caves and adits.
So I guess I'll move all my stuff to the new "home" in the next days.

I have way too much stfuff, this is my third (!) tour between the homes and there's still a half chest left...
Maybe I don't even need all this. But I'll move it all. Btw, I found some shortcuts between the homes and
iron-ore with in them. Maybe I need to craft some iron-blocks in my new hobbit-hole.
And since this morning I'm hearing strange noises, everytime when I come back to the new "home".
Sounds like an armada of cretaures, and I'm not brave enough to look...

The strange noise is still there... Should I really look?
I guess... No.
But I have a good message, too. I moved all my stuff to the new "home" and reduced it a little bit...
I melted all the ores and made blocks.

Ahh... I can't, even if I want to look, it's impossible at least for the moment. There's no way towards it.
Ok later I'll investigate that noise, but nt now...

Absolut right decision: I found DIAMONDS.

Merry Christmas everybody...
I don't know the exact time, but I guess it's christmas. Possibly, because I found lots of presents today...
And the biggest was: I saved the 7 diamonds I found yesterday in my chest, I have 26 diamonds now.
So I had have a good day, and because it's christmas I won't mine today...

I told you this crazy dream I had several times before? And about this strange cave with the letters in it? Sure.
I dreamed it again. From time to time it's getting more detailed.
I startes a mining trip as usual, and then I found an adit with lots of gravel above and a chest at the end of the
adit... Then I woke up. I guess there won't be a happy end.

Did you ever see a TAME Zombie? Me neither, until today. A zombie was following me in the morning.
I thought I had to slay him, but he stoped one block in front of me.
I walked on and he followed me again, and stoped again as I stoped!
This sounds wierd, but now I have a guard :)
So I'm very fast in mining now, my guard is killing evil mobs... I already have over a stack of iron-ore.
And only a half stack of food :(
