Hello all!

This is my recreation of the temple of Artemis at Ephesus. I had already build this quite some time ago and it is one of the first builds I uploaded to this site. While to overall structure was still good, my building skills have much improved since then so I came back to update the design. Most of the design features were inspired by the temples seen in AC Odyssey like the very prominent wall paintings. The main design of the temple was inspired by a 3D model used by Kings and Generals in their video of the wonders of the ancient world. This is most likely the biggest greek temple I will ever build and this new version does it more justice.


The temple of Artemis, also called Artemesium, temple at Ephesus, now in western Turkey, that was one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The great temple was built by Croesus, king of Lydia, about 550 BCE and was rebuilt after being burned by a madman named Herostratus in 356 BCE. The Artemesium was famous not only for its great size, over 350 by 180 feet (about 110 by 55 metres), but also for the magnificent works of art that adorned it. The Temple had tremendous dimensions: 127 columns of each 17,5 meters high.
