I built this command block machine to make possible hand grenade in minecraft!
Here are the 4 type I have for now:
  • Concussion grenade
  • Smoke grenade
  • Stun grenade
  • Sting grenade

They each behave differently and have different effects, even if they share the same basic mechanics.
Here start the more technical stuff. First, I should say that to use a grenade, you just need to drop it on the ground and wait.
"But what if I drop it accidentaly!" you say, it's not a problem. These are the general steps that each grenade follow:
  1. When dropped, it'll take about 4,5 seconds to activate (so you have this amout of time to pick it up if it was an accident).
  2. After that time, the grenade transforms into an unpickable item.
  3. 2,5 seconds later, the special affect of the grenade will accur.
It's important to not spam the grenade (especially the smoke one, I might make you crash for lag reason).
If you want to learn more about the commands used, here is my pastebin for the project with every single command for each individual grenade.

That's about it! I leave you with a stack of each, my Admin Book (in case of problem, there is a "kill all non-player entities") and a platfor to test them out!

P.S.: Don't use the smoke grenades if you have a fragile pc. If you start lagging at like 10 fps,
  1. Turn off the clock, there is a lever for each grenade
  2. Use this "kill all non-player entities" function in the book (first command)
  3. Basicaly it's this command: /kill @e[type=!player] (although you might kill yourself in the process)

Please refer to this PMC page or my profile if you want to use this redstone device in one of your build, that would be greatly appreciated :)
