This Helms Deep map is unlike any other in that you are actually there defending the Deeping Wall or the Keep from the attacking Urukhai. You can slash through the Orc flesh with Aragorn's sword, snipe the attackers at the front gate with Legolas' bow, or hack through the invaders climbing up the wall with Gimli's axe. Just be careful: the Urukai have more than one way of getting in.
With an army of 10,000 just outside the walls, every access point must be well guarded. Under the Deepening Wall the Orcs have cleverly placed a pressure plate and some TNT. It only takes one step to blow up a whole section of the wall; if an Orc gets too close, bring him down!
The Urukhai have also set up a siege tower next to the wall, allowing troops to pour onto the wall every second. Keep the wall from being overrun!
And if that wasn't enough, even more troops are battering the front gates and will destroy the gates if they are not stopped. Either shoot them down with Legolas' arrows or jump down (or be tossed) into the fray and hold them off long enough to repair the front gates.
As you rack up kills there are bonuses to be added to your weapons. If you have enough kills you can buy upgrades such as Knockback or Flame for your sword or bow. If you are a killing machine, you can trade your kills in for a horse and ride into battle for death and glory or for Rohan (whichever you prefer).
The map has FINALLY been released!

I am sooooooo sorry you guys! The map you all downloaded wasn't the newest version! Thanks to a friend, I was able to realize this and upload the correct map.
If you downloaded the first, outdated map I would suggest downloading the new one and at least seeing what is new. I believe I added in an Army of Rohan and more TNT, along with a few minor touches and improvements.

However, it has one thing that the other LotR maps do not have: interaction. Very few (if any) of the other minecraft LotR replicas have some way for you to actually play the map an battle in it. This map does.
I didn't want the focus of the map to be on the actual build, but more about the gameplay. Yes, I do realize it is much too small and bland to be a good Helms Deep build, but that's because it isn't supposed to be that :P
If I made it bigger and more detailed, the actual gameplay experience would be much worse. I watched a video where some Youtubers tried to defend a Helms Deep replica and realized the combat was too spread out to be fun. The map was WAAAY too large and had too many extra details and rooms. The focus of the map wasnt on the combat, so the gameplay suffered.
Do you have any tips/suggestions for what I should add?
