LORE:Highbeech is a port in the city of Goldhaven of the coast of The Sands of Ratmaat. The city used to be run byMediterranean Dwarfsback in 1800's BTD (Before The Darkness) when the dwarfs had a range of colonies off of there home continent, Buvnerth. The Dwarfs were at theheightof civilization. Technology and knowledge wise. They were the last to startexploringnew lands and searching for what they loved most, Gold. Gold was there number one reason forexploring. But curiosity killed the cat as some say. As they expanded they ended upconqueringnew lands.As they conquored they started to become more fighting wise then technology wise. They started making more weaponry andstudiedfighting moves and tactics of war. The arts of war started becoming a big part in dwarven culture.Seeing things that should not have been seen by the dwarven eye. Setting there foot down on land that was not rightfully theres. Some say the dwarfs made allies with the wrong beings. Some say they ventured into the heart of Mount Ash and awakened a evil which some say was the start of the Dark Wars. They expanded so far they couldn't hold it together. They startedlosingcontrol of the places theycontrolledand slowly faded back the there home land. One of the places that was left to rot was Highbeech.
Economy:Thearchesto let boats in is small enough for dwarven ships to move out and in. One of there tactics was to make long flat row boats with a big under deck. This port was a important hub ofcommerce for the region. The cityof Goldhaven relied on gold to trade with other regions. When the dwarves came they had tons. So they made a trade. The Pre-Naxus trade began. The dwarves traded gold for land and supplies to the people of Goldhaven which was run by humans. The humans traded and bought lots of things from different regions and became one of the richestcitesin The Lands of Imagination.
In the 200's The dwarves had to retreat the forces and return to the mother land to there home. But they also needed some way of making money to support there part of the war. So the port kept them working. When the evil reached Buvnerth, the dwarfs had to make a stand at Highbeech. The evil was coming across the water. They had heavy artillery and were able to hold them out in the water for a long time. Eventually they retreated but with not many dwarfs left at the port. The rest of the dwarfs were sent back to the motherland without any thanks given by the humans. The humans were eveacuated from the city and the city was raided and claimed by many mauraders and tribes. Eventually the humans came back to there once beautiful home to abandoned but not ruined home. Although the port was rotting. 233 ATE the humans of Goldhaven reopened Highbeech in honor of the brave dwarfs who protected there land. No modifications were made the the walls because it was what showed that great power can come from little people. Till this day Highbeech has been fully restored and back to its former glory and the city of Goldhaven is still a hub of commerce.
About the build:This build is one of my bigger projects and is still a work in progress. I would like to give credit to my friend Daedraslayer for making the walls and docks. Also with the help of Golbez22 for letting me use some of his ships. I made everything else. I am going to continue building on to this because I still have to make Goldhaven so DON'T DO ANYTHING SPECIAL WITH THIS BUILD UNTIL ITS DONE!
