“We need the tonic of wildness, to wade sometimes in marshes where the bittern and the meadow-hen lurk, and hear the booming of the snipe; to smell the whispering sedge where only some wilder and more solitary fowl builds her nest, and the mink crawls with its belly close to the ground.”
The wet season was not kind to the forests of Hollowbridge. Rain poured down and didn't stop, drowning the trees and turning the once luscious grass into mud. Water crept closer inland and the few remaining trees turned black. Marshland birds moved in, replacing the doves that came from the woods before. Snakes slither through the long grass as will-o'-the-wisps dance curiously in the deep marsh, enticing travellers astray. Every now and again a local village boy will find his way to the marsh and spot the wisps dancing their mysterious dance. Every now and again they find a local village boy that drowned in the marshes in the morning.
First off, my apologies for not uploading this month - life's been rather hectic at the moment and I haven't had that many opportunities to make terrain. I have several fully made and rendered but I'm not sure of the quality of some of them. In the future I'll upload a compilation of maps that I didn't think were quite good enough to upload on their own, but for now I'll continuing uploading the ones I'm fully happy with. This was the first time I've uploaded a swamp/marsh terrain, and I'm happy with how it turned out. I'm especially happy with the rock placement and river details, I think I've really gotten those aspects right. The plains behind the swamp are perfect for setting up a base camp to explore the swamp from, but be careful of things lurking in the grass and the endless waters of the Hollowbridge Marsh.

Soon as i get home from work later (Currently late) I'm gonna diamond them all. Can't begin to describe how amazing and artistic this work is, literally flawless. Would love to imagine all these sceneries combined in one great big world. Would go well with a project i'm doing lmao.
Either way, phenomenal.
