✠ Hello everybody, ✠
for my first project on planetminecrat I build the reproduction of a cathedral designed by Viollet the duke in the XIX century.
For him it was the perfect gothic cathedral but It were never build for lack of means.
I use a small picture left by the great architect to be as faithful as possible to the original work.the picture just show me a front angle so I improvise the inside and the choir of the cathedral.
the inside is fully developed and explorable.
It is not my first cathedral but is clearly the most imposing one!
I use chunky for the exterior render and Kuda's shader for the inside.
special credit to Roi_Louis who did it before me, I did not copy his wonderful works (except the gargoyles xD).
I recommand to use the John Smith or the Conquest texture pack to enjoying it.

✠ Important Update ✠ : I have remade entirely the Cathedral with a lot more ambition 8 years after to better suit the newest Minecraft versions ->

Et après la guerre, y a eu un manque de moyen, donc les autorités ont choisi des matériaux bons marché, ce qui donne la basilique de Koekelberg qu'on connait aujourd'hui, à la place d'une potentielle magnifique église gothique..
I couldn't do better.
(I don't think anyone could)
