This is my contribution to the second solo build contest on PMC. It took me about 20 hours, everything was built by hand and of course entirely by myself. To render the first two pictures I used the program Chunky. If you want to use this on servers, or something similar, please give me credit.

Note : Unfortunately the solar panels weren´t rendered propperly, please excuse this mistake.


STORY :

In 3084, 1075 years after the first adventurerers have been sent to explore the new lands, they´ve made it to the next planet in our solar system. After their landing, it took arround one month to build an improvised space station wich would supply the whole crew of the expedition. After the first settlements have been set up a lot of explorers have been sent to mars. Two years later the IRC Mars was built. The Interstellar Research Center. It´s the biggest colony on the whole planet so far and features the most modern laboratories and appliances. Through the massive coal deposits, and the resulting energy resources, the scientist were able to set up a trading root between the earth and the mars.


BUILDING COMPLEX :

The IRC features a lot of different buildings and setups.

- Large Headquarters
- Laboratories and Research establishments
- Crew Quarters
- two Flightdecks with a controll tower
- Rocket Launchpad
