1152 Bit - 144 Byte - [Instant Wire Updating] [WIP]
By KisforKraken
Update: As of right now all the bits and instant wire for them are done and I'll be uploading a video to show the speed of the update. Which is incredibly fast.
Speed Test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN7Q4LCdX-0
When it's done It will be 1152 Bits [Including buses and Addresses] that will be able to update in less than a second via Instant Wire. Which I'll eventually hook up to something.
What is Instant Wire? Instant Wire is exactly what it sounds like. Instant wire is a form of repeater, but unlike a repeater it doesn't have a delay. Which allows for the current to instantly travel over far distances.
TaviRider did an amazing demonstration if you don't understand how it works or what it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tO03gH1y8R8&feature=related
Done so far:
288 Bits. Most Instant Wire finished. [8/31/2011 - 5:53]
864 Bits. Most Instant Wire finished. [8/31/2011 - 8:26]
Instant Wire for each bit finished. [9/2/2011 - 2:54]
To be done:
Buses
Addresses

To get the inst-repeater bus connected you will unfortunately have to spread out your memory cells quite alot. ( since currently piston repeaters require significantly more freespace then piston memory )
Keep up your enthusiasm
Look up the vertical down instant wire, that should help you save some space.
