From 1913 to 1916, a total of only 10 units were produced by the London, Brighton, and South Coast Railway. True to the Reverend's description, the E2's did in fact have six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, and a short stumpy dome. What was left out however, was that the moment an engine that was better for the task at hand, (SR USA Dock Tanks), the E2's became obsolete in the really useful department, and none survived into preservation.
