Our first post on the site is three different builds from three different builders. Three of London's largest and famous churches done by three of our most excellent line of builders.
Westminster Abbey - Kosmo#3707
Officially a collegiate church rather than an abbey, it has played host to all coronations of English and British Monarchs, dating back to 1066. It sits on Parliament Square and stands imposing along with the Palace of Westminster.
St Paul's Cathedral - DasBirnenDing#1574
The third known cathedral built on the site, designed by the legendary Christopher Wren. It was the tallest building in London from 1710-1963 and remains the second largest cathedral in the UK and a symbol of the City of London.
Southwark Cathedral - SoleSol06#0794
The present building is about 800 years old, however was only made a cathedral in 1905. Bishops of Winchester used to have their palace right next door, but is now swamped by the Borough Market.
