Lunenburg is located in Canada. Specifically, Nova Scotia, an eastern province of Canada. In 1773, this town was founded. Lunenburg is on the south side of the Nova Scotia along the shore. The town mainly relied on fishing to maintain a stable economy. The town started to flourish in the 1800's, and brought along many neat pieces of architecture and buildings that still exist today. UNESCO has had Lunenburg on its World Heritage List since 1995. The natural harbor which the town is located on is about 100 km (62 miles) southwest of Halifax. The weather in Lunenburg is generally pretty mild (warm summers and mild winters). Most months get a considerable amount of precipitation. More Info
